Description
Today, 3D printing has many uses. Prototyping, design, models or toys.
The new nGen filament by ColorFabb offers the ideal printing materials for each individual application.
nGen filament has functional properties and offers surprisingly good print outcomes.
The glass transition temperature is 85 °C, more than that of PLA filaments.
nGen is ideal for users who require flexibility and a wide printing temperature range. The filament is also well moulded at low temperatures.

More information
How to print using nGen:
To achieve the best results, it is important to always adjust the Slicer settings in accordance to the respective printing material. The most important settings will be explained below.
Heated bed:
nGen is best printing material to use on heated beds. It is always ideal to get close to the glass transition temperature. Therefore the printing bed should be heated between 70-85 °C.
Printing Temperature:
Printing temperature of 220 - 240°C should be used for normal settings such as 0,2 mm layer height and 50 mm/s printing speed.
Cooling:
If printing is always processed on the cooling mode, it is possible that single layers could detach. If this is the case, the cooling setting should be decreased.
Bridging:
We recommend reducing the speed when bridging. The cooling setting can be set to 100%.
Retraction / Withdrawal:
The retraction settings of PLA should correspond to those of nGen. However, it is possible that these settings made be need to be adjusted slightly.

Review written by Ewout
Rated with 4 out of 5 stars.
Very nice layer fusion and surface quality but only if you get it exactly right. I still call myself a novice and this is the first time I've worked with PETG but looking on the net there are more people finding it difficult to tune this stuff in. It seems to be a fine balance between layer fusion and overtemperature. Slowly homing in on it by the looks of it and looking forward to seeing all parts of the print come out superbly smooth, strong and with little shrinkage.

Not bad, but nothing special for the price
Rated with 3 out of 5 stars.
It works like PETG, bridges slightly better but is also more brittle than regular PETG.
On top of that, I was expecting a premium spool wounding for this premium price… Isn't as clean as some other brands, doesn't generate printing issues but you'd expect better.
